Artist's Exhibition Criteria
The art galleries Michael Reid at Elizabeth Bay and our sister exhibition space, Michael Reid at Murrurundi, look to exhibit nationally significant, established contemporary artists who have consistently achieved a significant body of work over many years.
As a general rule, our artists must have exhibited, with another gallery—for at least seven years consistently—before we would consider showcasing their artwork to our collectors.
Email submissions will not be considered. Submissions should include hard copies of all and only the following:
Cover letter;
Resume;
Artist statement/s, and up to 2 reviews or articles if desired;
Representations of your work in the form of:
—Up to 20 jpeg image files on CD-ROM only
Please be aware that artist submissions will not be returned.
When scheduling exhibitions our artist liaison manager, Silke Raetze and Nicola Townsend, specialists in Australian art, look to the quality of an artist's practice; the originality of their visual language; and the cogency of their dialogue.
