Tour of the 2nd National Indigenous Art Triennial unDisclosed

SOLD OUT

The artist Danie Mellor & Michael Reid will be hosting a guided tour at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, on the occasion of the 2nd National Indigenous Art Triennial unDisclosed.

The exhibition’s theme, ‘unDisclosed’, alludes to the spoken and the unspoken, the known and the unknown, what can be revealed and what cannot. It captures the duality of the disclosed and undisclosed embedded within the works and the exhibition as a whole. Viewers are invited to unearth the layers of hidden and subtle meanings and to place them alongside those that are conspicuous.

Following the guided tour, collectors can wander the permanent collection of the gallery.

Date: Saturday, 23rd June 2012, 12:00 noon
Address: National Gallery of Australia, Parkes Place, Canberra ACT 2600

Cost: $20 per person. Strictly limited number of participants.

Pop Up Exhibition

The artist, Gregor Kregar will be returning to Australia next week to erect Houdini Cloud, a major new reflective stainless steel structure that will appear like a low flying cloud in the space of the Depot Gallery.

The sculpture will be assembled on site and on view for two weeks. The reflective stainless steel skin of the sculpture will mirror and fragment the gallery space, altering viewing perspectives.

An audacious video on Gregor & his practice

We invite you to attend the opening and meet the artist on Wednesday 13th June at The Depot Gallery, 2 Danks Street, Waterloo, Sydney, 6-8pm.
