Team Reid provides the following client services—
The finding, purchase and sale, on a commission basis, of fine Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander art—together with the sourcing of important Colonial, Pastoral, Landscape, Modern and Contemporary painting, sculpture and works on paper. The majority of our business is conducted by private treaty and we pride ourselves on hunting down the very best works that our clients are looking for. Equally, we specialise in helping sellers dispose of works of art discreetly and efficiently. We handle transactions that range from the simple to the complex.
A highly tailored art exhibition schedule; the primary focus of the gallery is art consulting and dealing combined with anywhere between four to six significant exhibitions a year. The aim being that two exhibitions are entirely Aboriginal, the others consist of Australian artists from the nineteenth century until the present day. The underlying value of the exhibition calendar is that it affords collectors the opportunity to view and acquire artwork—by primarily established contemporary artists—from around the country, artists that currently do not have representation in Sydney. The gallery exists in all its diversity to enable collector’s to build and enrich their collections.
Appraisals—we have extensive experience in all types of valuation work, including insurance valuations, fair market appraisals and probate. We update valuations on an on-going basis for established clients and welcome the opportunity to carry out valuations for new clients.
On behalf of collectors, Team Reid has negotiated a favourable art reference buying opportunity via my publisher Allen & Unwin—Australia’s leading independent book publisher. Allen & Unwin, brings to the market, and distributes for others, any number of fine art reference books. Art reference purchasers in Australia, receive a 10% discount on the recommended retail price and free postage. This offer to collectors, will involve a rotation of selected art reference books, at least three times a year.
